Necrotizing fasciitis is a rare, life threatening soft tissue infection, primarily involving the fascia and subcutaneous tissue. We conducted a prospective analytical study in a tertiary care referral hospital over a period of two years, 50 patients were included in the study. To evaluate the factors for early diagnosis, management, mortality and morbidity. Necrotizing fasciitis is a life threatening disease with high mortality. Early diagnosis and adequate treatment are necessary to improve the clinical outcome. Clinical awareness remains pivotal.
