Abstract
Colorectal carcinoma (CRC) is a significant global
health burden, and there is a critical need to identify novel therapeutic
targets for improved patient outcomes. Nectin-4, a transmembrane glycoprotein,
has emerged as a promising candidate due to its aberrant expression in CRC.
This essay aims to provide a comprehensive overview of Nectin-4 protein
expression in CRC and its future implications in terms of targeted therapy. The
potential benefits and challenges associated with targeting Nectin-4, including
diagnostic and prognostic applications, as well as the development of Nectin-4-directed
therapies, will be discussed.
